We all know about how important it is to take care of our eyes. To help you find the perfect skincare regime for such a delicate area, we have put together some tips and recipes below.
Of course, everyone is different and, while some of these recipes might not work for you, we are sure you will find the perfect combination of ingredients for your skin type!
For Dark Circles
2 tablespoons of cold milk
2 tablespoons of rose water
Mix the cold milk and rose water, then dip two cotton pads in it and place them on your eyes. Leave them on for 20-25 minutes, then remove them and wash your eyes with pure water.
This easy recipe is perfect to reduce puffiness and swelling under your eyes.
As An Eye Wash
1 cup of chilled water
2 teaspoons of rose water
Create this mixture and use it as an eye wash. Splash it on your eyes and let it dry naturally then wash your eyes with pure water. Right after applying this mixture to your eyes your skin will feel much smoother, ready to apply makeup or for a makeup-free day!
For Tired Eyes
Very often you can buy rose water droppers, perfect to always carry in your bag to freshen up your eyes when they're tired or red. If you can't find a rose water dropper, however, all you need to do is buy a small dropper and fill it with pure water and a few drops of rose water concentrate. Carry the dropper in your bag and, when your eyes are starting to feel tired, simply apply a few drops, take a few minutes to relax and let the rose water do the rest.
To Brighten The Eye Area
1 teaspoon sandalwood powder
Mix the sandalwood powder with rosewater and make a paste of medium consistency; apply the paste around your eyes making sure it doesn’t get into your eyes, leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off. This will make your eye-are look and feel revitalised almost instantly.
1 teaspoon almond oil
2-3 drops rose water
2 cotton pads
Mix the almond oil with rose water in a bowl, dip the cotton pads in the mixture and place them on your eyes. Wait for 30 minutes, remove the cotton pads massaging the eye area, then wash if off.
For Relaxing Your Eyes
2 slices cucumber
2 tablespoon rose water
Take a cotton ball and use it to apply rosewater to your eyes. Once the rose water is dry, place the cucumber slices on your eyes and leave them on for 30 minutes. Wash your eye with cold water and feel your skin instantly moisturised and your mood definitely improved.
For Treating Eye Puffiness
1 tablespoon rosewater
1 tablespoon glycerin
In a small bowl, add the glycerin and rosewater and mix well. Apply the mixture around your eyes just before going to sleep and leave it on overnight. Wash it off in the morning and enjoy your puffiness-free eyes.
For Preventing Dryness Around The Eyes
1 teaspoon aloe Vera gel
1 teaspoon rose water
2 cotton pads
In a small bowl, mix the aloe vera gel and rosewater; dip the cotton balls in it and place them over your eyes. Leave them on for 20 minutes then remove and wash thee area with pure water.
For Tired Eyes
A handful of almonds
1 teaspoon rosewater
Soak the almonds in water overnight. The next day, crash them to make a paste and mix it with rosewater. Apply it to the area around your eyes and on your eyelids and let it sit for 30 minutes then wash it off.
Rose water is extremely safe for your skin and eyes so, unless you are allergic to rose or any of the other ingredients in these recipes, you can try these remedies with ease!
