Round Glasses - Evergreen Trend That is Slowly Making a Comeback

Remember when having to wear glasses had nothing to do with fashion? Well, those days are gone.

Just like every other fashion trend, glasses come and go but if there is one style people have always been obsessed with that’s round glasses.

One of the earliest styles of sunglasses, the round frame is a celebrity favourite, consequently making it one of the trendiest looks out there.

The American fashion icon Iris Apfel is famously known for always rocking a pair of oversized and bold ones; English songwriter John Lennon was notoriously often wearing a pair of tiny round frames.

So who can rock round sunglasses?

This classic cut is perfect for those who want to make a statement because who said glasses can’t be exciting? Your face shape is, of course, relevant and, according to the eyewear specialists at Coastal, some face shapes are most suited to round glasses than others.

People with a triangle-shaped face, for instance, have a wider jaw that narrows towards the forehead, making their facial structure perfect for a pair of round or oval glasses. If you have a heart-shaped face, however then we have good news for you tooi! People with a wider forehead, in fact, tend to look good in round glasses as well.

And while the shape of your face is important to determine whether or not round glasses would work for you, that’s only a very general guideline that can sometimes be wrong.

The best way to find the perfect glasses for you is by trying them on and the general rule of thumb is to go for something that will work well with your face proportions. If you have minute features, for instance, smaller glasses will work better for you and vice versa.

Oversized round frames are more of a statement piece and if that’s what you’re looking for, then there is no better frame than an oversized one!
